Tips & Best Practices
- Sync customers before creating documents -- ensure the customer exists in Lexware before generating a quotation or invoice to avoid errors.
- Keep products in sync -- sync products to Lexware before creating documents so line items match your article catalog.
- Use deep links -- after creating a document in Lexware, click the link in the deal's activity log to view or edit it directly in Lexware Office.
- Check the sync log regularly -- review the log on the Lexware settings page to catch any failed sync operations early.
- API key security -- treat your Lexware API key like a password. Only admins can view and change the integration settings.
